Studying school anxiety among 15 year-old teen-agers with different level of motor fitness at the Udmurt Republic in terms of self-isolation

Abstract:

Nowadays the problem of anxiety among teen-agers is one of the most urgent in modern psychology. Taking into consideration the latest events all around the world the amount of teen-agers, who feel anxiety and lack of confidence increased. Among all negative feelings, which teen-agers experience, anxiety takes a special place. Very often it leads to working capacity, activity productivity decrease, difficulties in communication and emotional instability. Pandemic, distance learning and the way of life change increased schoolchildren’s anxiety and nervousness. Materials. Studying school anxiety among 15 year-old teen-agers with different level of motor fitness at the Udmurt Republic in terms of self-isolation. Research methods. Information sources analysis and summarizing, testing, the level of school anxiety diagnostics among schoolchildren by means of B. N. Phillips methodology (School Anxiety Scale, SAS), methods of mathematical statistics. Results. We studied the indices of school anxiety in schoolchildren with different level of motor fitness in Izhevsk. We revealed the definite interconnection between motor fitness of children and the level of general school anxiety. Teen-agers, who go in for sports, had a lower level of school anxiety according to all scales, than the teen-agers, who had an ordinary motor regimen. Conclusion. Research works showed that during a month of self-isolation and distance learning the level of school anxiety in all studied by us groups of teen-agers decreased almost according to all its components. Teen-agers were able to adapt to new life conditions.
