Skiing in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) in modern conditions

Abstract:
In 1924, for the first time in the republic, a skiing section was opened, and in 1926, the first official competitions in this sport were organized in Yakutsk. Today, skiing attracts many people in the republic, competitions are held, and the material base is being strengthened. Research methods. We have studied the literature, analyzed documents and websites, conducted a survey. Scientific novelty. The analysis of the development of skiing at the present stage in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) is carried out. Practical significance. The results of the study may be of interest to coaches, athletes, and managers. Result. Skiing in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) is developing on the basis of the activities of the federation; creation of a material and technical base; involvement in skiing from an early age. Conclusion. The results of the analysis showed that it is necessary to increase the number of regional and national competitions, strengthen the provision of youth sports schools with ski equipment and equipment, new facilities for skiing are needed.
