Abstract:

In order to preserve a high level of fitness, it is necessary to provide organism with oxygen. This requires an increase in cardiac output. One of the indicators is external respiration. On it the aerobic productivity of the organism depends, as well as normal gas composition of arterial blood support. Materials. The article presents indices of external respiration of 18- 35 year-old male athletes depending on respiratory cycles and the increasing power load. Research methods. Information sources analysis and summarizing, pneumotachography for external respiration estimation and methods of mathematical statistics. Results. The values of respiratory minute volume in the group with bradycardiac respiratory cycle increased due to respiratory frequency. In the group with tachycardial respiratory cycle due to increased respiratory volume values. In the group with normocardiac respiratory cycle, minute respiratory volume reached high values due to both parameters increase. Conclusion. Having studied the indices of external respiration during bicycle ergometric increasing load, we can state the fact that MVR (minute volume of respiration) in the groups of athletes with normocardic and tachycardial respiratory cycles in comparison with bradycardiac respiratory cycle had the highest values.
