Abstract:

Psychological state of athletes in professional sport very often plays a great role for the winner of the competitions determination. In this connection the methodology-system of psycho-regulation becomes an important part of training athletes at different levels of training. Materials. Substantiation of the methodology of psychological training among 14-16 yearold yachtsmen. Research methods. Information sources and athletes’ diaries analysis and summarizing, testing, questionnaire survey, experiment, methods of mathematical statistics. Results. We created and experimentally tested the methodology of psychological regulation for 14-16 year-old athletes. The offered methodology use provides the amount of effectively realized actions increase. It proves stability improvement in technical actions. Time of this or that action fulfillment decreases (rounding the marks, course change, tacking, gybing, spinnaker removal). The amount of tactical mistakes, connected with advantageous position choice, the ability to use wind and flow advantage considerably decreased. General self-discipline indices among athletes significantly increased – time for yacht rigging decreased. The amount of the breaks on water, the amount of rules violation cases, objections and disqualifications, start delays considerably decreased. The stability of the elements fulfillment technique increased and the amount of tactical mistakes in regatta decreased. It proves the level of technical and tactical readiness increase. General effectiveness of the performances during the competitions increased. Conclusion. The methodology of psycho-regulation in a yearly cycle of training 14-16 year-old yachtsmen has a positive influence on different sides of training and increases the level of competitive activity in general.
