"The Russian Journal of Physical Education and Sport" is included in the list of peer-reviewed publications and editions of the Higher Attestation Commission.

A journal of scientific research on the latest empirical and theoretical research carried out at the regional or international level, devoted to aspects of pedagogical-psychological and medico-biological problems of physical and sports.

The journal publishes articles containing the results of research in various fields of sports science, such as sports education, sports training, sports pedagogy, sports psychology, sports physiology, sports sociology, sports medicine, adaptive physical education, sports management, sociocultural services and tourism.

When preparing special issues of the journal, the editorial board has the right to change the structure of the journal (including reducing the number of sections), as well as invite co-editors to prepare thematic issues.

The editorial board of "The Russian Journal of Physical Education and Sport" invites interested authors to send their materials for consideration for possible publication in the edition. Both Russian and foreign researchers are invited to cooperate.

The rules for the design of materials intended for publication in the journal can be found in the section "For authors". We draw the attention of the authors that the editorial board has the right to reject consideration of the manuscript for publication if it is not framed in accordance with the requirements of the journal. It is also allowed to guide the authors when registering their works for the latest issue of the journal.

The main provisions of the editorial policy can be found in the section «Journal Code of Ethics».

Since 2013 the journal has been translated into English. The content of the Russian-language and English-language editions is completely the same.

The journal is sent to leading university and research centers in Russia and Europe.

The journal is included in the List of leading peer-reviewed scientific journals and publications, in which the main scientific results of dissertations for the degree of Doctor and Candidate of Sciences are to be published (Decision of the Presidium of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia 6/6 dated February 19, 2010, re-registered VAK N 1799 dated 27.01.2016).

The journal adheres to international standards for the preparation, design and publication of scientific articles, including ethical principles generally accepted in the international field (Committee on Publication Ethics). The editors also believe that a good scientific article should be written in a simple and understandable way, therefore all manuscripts undergo literary editing.
