There is no submission fee as the publishing  The Russian Journal of Physical Education and Sport is funded by the Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University.

Peer review, criteria for acceptance and corrections

The Russian Journal of Physical Education and Sport (Pedagogical –Psychological and Medico-Biological Problems of Physical Culture and Sports) is an international, peer-reviewed journal publishing high-quality, original research. All submitted manuscripts are subjected to initial appraisal by the Editor, and, if found suitable for further consideration, to peer review by independent, anonymous expert referees.

Using double-blind peer review system, neither reviewers’ nor author’s identities are revealed to the other party to ensure the quality of research published in the Journal. Manuscripts that are appropriate for the journal are reviewed by at least two experts in the field. Authors of manuscripts that were rejected during review process will be informed if the manuscript may be resubmitted after it is corrected according to given recommendations. If your manuscript has been previously submitted elsewhere, please ensure that it follows the guidelines of this journal. The final decision to accept or reject the manuscript will also be sent to the corresponding author along with any recommendations made by the referees.

Please pay attention to the following information before submitting a manuscript:

-        Topic and content of the manuscript must fit the aims and scope of the Russian Journal of Physical Education and Sport.

-        The Journal uses CrossCheck™ software to screen manuscripts for originality. By submitting your manuscript to the Russian Journal of Physical Education and Sport you are agreeing to any necessary originality checks your manuscript may have to undergo during the peer-review and production processes.

 

-        All authors of a manuscript should include their full names, affiliations, postal addresses and email addresses on the cover page of the manuscript. One author should be identified as the corresponding author. Please give the affiliation where the research was conducted.

-        Structure and technical requirements of the manuscript should be adjusted to the requirements of the Russian Journal of Physical Education and Sport  which can be found in the template of the Journal and in the section Requirements for a manuscript.

-        TEMPLATE – the template should be used for the preparation of the manuscript.

-        The language of the manuscript submitted for consideration for possible publication will be evaluated by our editors to decide if it is of sufficient quality. It is strongly recommended to have your manuscript checked by a native speaker or an English language specialist before submission, in order to ensure that the language is acceptable.

-        Please note that manuscripts that greatly exceed the recommended length (40000 characters with spaces) of the article will be critically reviewed with respect to this fact.

-        Acknowledgements, funding, disclosure statement, contribution and biographical note(s) should be provided in a separate file in order to ensure author anonymity. The information will be included in the manuscript after peer-review process. It should appear before the list of references.

Originality

The Russian Journal of Physical Education and Sport  (Pedagogical –Psychological and Medico-Biological Problems of Physical Culture and Sports)  considers all manuscripts on the strict condition that the material submitted to the Journal must be original, must not have appeared in another publication and must not be submitted for publication elsewhere while under consideration by the Journal. The manuscript should contain nothing that is abusive, defamatory, libelous, obscene, fraudulent, or illegal. Authors who fail to adhere to these conditions will be charged with all costs that The Russian Journal of Physical Education and Sport  incurs in regard to processing their manuscript. Any paper that has been previously published or is under review elsewhere will not be published in the Journal. 

Copyright and authors’ rights

The Russian Journal of Physical Education and Sport journal uses “Open Access System” which helps to bring research to a wider audience and there is a subject to high academic quality and topic relevance. Articles published the Russian Journal of Physical Education and Sport are distributed under the terms The mass media certificate registration   FS77-49079, which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original author and source are credited. The material cannot be used for commercial purposes.

To assure the integrity, dissemination, and protection against copyright infringement of published articles, you will be asked to assign an Agreement in Relation to Copyright with Naberezhnoye Chelny State Pedagogical University.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submissions compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The Author hereby assigns to the Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University  (the Publisher) the copyright in the Article and any supplemental tables, illustrations or other information submitted therewith that are intended for publication as part of or as a supplement to the Article in all forms, throughout the world, in all languages, for the full term of copyright. This assignment includes the right to provide the Article in electronic and online forms and systems.
  2.   The Publisher will permit the Author to use the Article elsewhere after publication, including placement it on the author’s personal web pages, in other works or for the purposes of the Author’s teaching and research, provided acknowledgement is given to the Journal as the original source of publication.
  3.   The Author warrants that the Article is original work, has not been published previously and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. The Article contains no libellous or unlawful statements and that it in no way infringes the rights of others. The Author guarantees that the Author is the owner of the Article and has full power to make this agreement.
  4.  The Editor of the Journal is empowered to make such editorial changes as may be necessary to make the Article suitable for publication. The Editor will be made to consult the Author in any case if substantive changes are required.
  5.  If the Article was prepared jointly by more than one author, the Author warrants that he/she has been authorised by all co-authors to sign this agreement on their behalf. All authors have significantly contributed to the research. 
  6. All authors are obliged to provide retractions or corrections of mistakes.

Reproduction of copyrighted material

If you wish to include any material in your manuscript in which you do not hold copyright, you must obtain written permission from the copyright owner, prior to submission. Authors are required to secure a permission to reproduce any proprietary text, illustration, table, or other material, including data, audio, video, film stills, and any supplementary material proposed for submission. This applies to direct (verbatim or facsimile) reproduction as well as “derivative reproduction” (where you have created a new figure or table which derives substantially from a copyrighted source). Copies of permission letters should be sent with the manuscript upon submission to the editors. Any material received without such evidence will be assumed to originate from the authors.

It is free for anybody to read and download, and to copy and disseminate for educational but not commercial purposes. Technical requirements for a manuscript

 The structure of the manuscript should be organised as follows:

 1. Article must contain original material before never published and meets the following criteria: scientific novelty, the practical significance of the specialization.

2. At the beginning of this article, please specify: UDC, article title, authors names, degrees and titles, the name of the organization in which the work is done, the city, keywords should not be repeated in the title (2-7) in English language.

3. Each original article must be preceded by a brief summary. Abstracts should be concise and contain: title, authors names, and brief information about them, the name of the organization in which the work is done, the city, keywords are also mentioned summary article (given also in English). Structure annotations must be issued in accordance with the international standard (no more than 250 words). Example attached.

4. Papers should consist of sections: "Abstract", "Methods", "materials", "results", "Methods", "Conclusion" - in Russian and English languages, "Introduction", "Goals", "Objectives "," Methods and organization studies "," results and discussion "," Conclusion "(" Conclusions ")," Literature ". Methodical materials as educational and psychological and biomedical orientation, should consist of an introduction, practical recommendations, scientific or experimental basis, a list of references. Article discussion, journalistic nature, etc. may be formed in an arbitrary shape.

5. Article requires deciphering abbreviations on first use.

7. 8. References should be arranged alphabetically according to the rules of bibliographic description in accordance with Vancouver Citation Style. Also, the list of references should be submitted in English in accordance with the Russian one. References in the text are given in square brackets in line with the numbers bibliography. Footnotes appear as a superscript. Responsibility for the accuracy of information in the bibliography is responsibility of the author.

9. Received article sent for review. The comments transmitted to the author by e-mail or regular mail. Revised materials revisits reviewer, after which a decision is made to send a print job. Also, the author should send a review article of the organization, which is working or studying (see the order of reviewing manuscripts).

10. The application shall include the date of writing, the names of all authors, power, title, mailing address, phone number, and a mandatory E-mail one of the authors.

11. The volume of full-fledged article or review new scientific results: postgraduate or applicants - 6-10 pages; doctoral candidates and doctors - pages 10-15;

- The volume of messages for research briefs abstract information about scientific problem or practical experience, but without a detailed analysis - to 6 pages of text and no more than three illustrations;

- The volume of messages about scientific ideas (in the form of ultra-low posts with new and exciting ideas in authors edition) - up to 1.0 pages;

- Experience of educational institutions - the history, current status, achievement, technology training and education; amount of information - up to 8-12 pages designed by the following rules. This volume includes: text, tables, illustrations, references (abstracts, information about the authors are not included).

12. The manuscript file format - A4, MSWord, Vse field - 2 cm, font TimesNewRoman, header - size 14 bold capital letters, the main text (including text tables) - 12 pins, bibliography - 10 pins. Interval - Bastard.

13. Articles are accepted by e-mail directly to the publisher. The title of the articles file must be the first authors name, city and date of writing (eg, Ivanov (Izhevsk) _02_05_2006.doc), any additional files (with drawings, diagrams, etc.) should also include the authors name and the date (for example, Ivanov_02_05_2006_foto.tif, Ivanov_ris_1.jpg). Upon receipt of the edited article to the email address from which the reference was made, shall be notified of its acceptance or rejection for publication in the case of non-compliance with the above requirements of an article

14. The author of the article should be checked in the "Anti-plagiarism", the originality of not less than 75%.

Authors contributing to the Russian Journal of Physical Education and Sport agree to publish their articles under the The mass media certificate registration  FS77-49079, allowing third parties to share their work (copy, distribute, transmit) and to adapt it, under the condition that the authors are given credit, that the work is not used for commercial purposes, and that in the event of reuse or distribution, the terms of this license are made clear.

Authors retain copyright of their work, with first publication rights granted to the Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University. However, authors are required to transfer copyrights associated with commercial use to the Publisher. Revenues from commercial sales are used to keep down the publication fees. Moreover, a major portion of the profits generated from commercial sales is placed in a fund to cover publication fees for researchers from developing nations and, in some cases, for young researchers.
