Anthropometric measures such as height and age are used in equations for estimating spirometric values for various populations, while some studies have reported significant relationships between some spirometric, cardio-respiratory and endurance performance. Equations for evaluating spirometric values are usually based on data derived from samples of certain groups of people which may not be representative of the world’s diverse population. This study therefore sought to determine the relationships between anthropometric, spirometric and cardio-respiratory values of Kenyan elite endurance runners.
